TEAM SURVIVOR is back for their third year to fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their goal in 2018 is to raise $100,000 and have a research grant funded in TEAM SURVIVOR’s name.
TEAM SURVIVOR started in 2016 by John Reumann and Dave Krause as a team of blood cancer survivors and supporters. John and Dave both were diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, and have both completed numerous century rides with TNT.
During their first two years, they have raised $150,000 to help fund the breakthrough development of therapies that have saved and continue to save thousands of lives. For the 2018 cycling season, TEAM SURVIVOR has set a goal to raise $100,000.
Why do I ride and raise money for LLS? It is really quite simple. Leukemia killed my dad and my mom died from complications due to her cancer treatments. I remember when my dad was in the hospital undergoing chemo. He said, “Don’t feel sorry for me, I have lived a full life. I feel bad for the young ones that are in here with cancer. That’s just not right.” I will always remember those words and I will always continue the fight.
